Starting this blog was my New Year’s resolution, and this is my first post! But, before we start popping bottles, I should clarify that it was my New Year’s resolution for 2017. So, like almost everything related to home renovation, this also took a lot longer than expected. Still, I’m excited to get this project up and running.
Our family has been living here for a year now, and it’s hard to believe how much things have changed since we first saw this house. We’ve worked really hard to bring the house back to its former glory. I’m not an interior designer or a contractor, so I’ve just been learning along the way. And, while it has been frustrating at times, I have also really enjoyed the process. In fact, it got my creative juices flowing so much that I thought it’d be fun to start a blog (which is something else that I’m learning along the way).
On this blog, you’ll be able to see “before” and “after” shots of the house in the Home Tour. I’ll also be posting renovation tips, DIY projects, and design ideas. And, I hope to share with you some of the reasons why Gainesville is such a great town.
