The master bedroom had beige walls and beige carpets – blah. But, it also has three closets (plus an additional walk-in closet in the bathroom) – yay!
My goal was to create a calm and serene master bedroom. Installing white oak floors, painting the walls white, and adding touches of blue helped create a bright and relaxed space.
I printed lyrics from our wedding song to hang above the bed because . . . it’s true!
I fell in love with a large lumbar pillow that looked just like this, but it was a little pricey. So, I located similar fabric on Etsy and made my own. My sewing skills are limited to sewing in a straight line, but it comes in handy for making pillows.
The master bedroom overlooks the creek and the lake and gets great light. One of these days, I’ll share the story of how our dog jumped out this window (which is about 12 feet off the ground) and came out unscathed (can’t say the same thing about the window screen).
